We have a beautiful home that has been a labor of love. We are so proud of the work have done to make our house a comfortable retreat. There is a huge fenced-in yard, which has been a delight for our dog and cat, Monkey and Sage. We cannot wait to share this safe, secure space with a baby.
Community
We live in a town filled with history, that has been rejuvenated by a vibrant downtown region and a lot of young families. We are surrounded by friends and family. Our house is directly across from a very safe park. There is another park, just down the street. We are very close to the huge local park. We are located about 1 1/2 hours from Washington, DC. That means that short trips are not only possible, but part of growing up here. Our town is small enough to have remained safe, so that we feel very comfortable raising a child here. There are kid-friendly festivals on a monthly basis in the area.
Schools
Schools in the area are some of the best schools in Virginia. They are focused on allowing children to have a well-rounded education and explore many different activities and interests, while receiving a great education. We also have an excellent Parks and Recreation department to allow children to try every sport you can imagine. We live very close to all of the schools in our district. That means that we have a huge playground at the end of our block. We also have a farm league baseball team and a well-known, growing University.
